Common implementation questions.

Can old PDFs be uploaded?

Yes. Existing PDFs can be uploaded record by record or imported through the bulk upload workflow.

Can access be restricted?

Yes. Records can be open, metadata-only, view-only, institution-only, restricted or embargoed.

Can departments be represented?

Yes. Faculties, departments and programmes are available as metadata and reporting filters, while librarian review remains the final repository workflow.

Can the system support multiple universities?

Yes. The platform supports institution-specific repositories and dashboards.

Can it work on normal hosting?

The project is built with PHP and MySQL, so it can be deployed on standard hosting that supports the required PHP extensions and storage permissions.
